Good Pictures on Carved Pumpkins
Pumpkin Carving Ideas
Pumpkins all over are ready to turn into Jack O’ Lanterns. Pick some up from a patch and start your annual pumpkin carving ritual but do it with the tricks we have up our sleeve. Here are some fresh ideas for pumpkin-carving that are sure to inspire some of the best looking pumpkins in your neighborhood:
1. Cookie cutters are a great way to ensure perfectly carved pumpkins. Choose durable stainless steel cookie cutters like ghosts, witches, owls, stars, circles and pretty fall leaves to plan your design. Position the cookie cutters on the pumpkins and gently press in as much as you can. Now tap them in with a rubber mallet till they come out from the other side. Some cookie cutters may lose their shape and will not be re-usable.
2. Vellum or any translucent paper can be used to give out colored light from your carved pumpkins. Once you have made the cutouts on your pumpkin, cut vellum slightly larger than your cutout and then place it on the inside of the pumpkin blocking the cutout securing with straight pins on the inside. As paper is flammable, you will not be able to use candles. Use Tap lights instead.
3. Turn pumpkins into a pretty lantern by cutting out a regular design all around it. Cut a large ‘S’ template that fits the length of the pumpkin. Trace it all around the pumpkin at even intervals and cut them out. When you will light tea lights or tap lights inside, the pumpkin will look like a lantern.
4. Use a potato peeler to make features and indentations that do not require cutting out the complete piece but require just the peeling of the upper skin.
5. Give your pumpkin characters funky hair by poking holes in the top of their heads and sticking out Christmas lights from them.

Uncovering Your Dreams – Can You See Your Dream?
Your dream lives in your mind and is made up of images or pictures, feelings and thoughts.
Visualising is a powerful technique in turning your dream into a reality.
According to many personal development experts including Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins, James Arthur Ray, just to name a few… the brain does not know the difference between actually doing something and just visualizing something being done. The brain processes these two things the same way. Your brain will work to make happen what ever thoughts, images and feelings you have. In other words, what you think about, what images you have, you will bring about.
Three sayings you may be familiar with:
“Seeing is believing!”
“What you see is what you get!”
“If you can see it, you can achieve it!”
All inventions e.g. the airplane, all discoveries e.g. electricity, all great works e.g. Sistine Chapel, all success stories e.g. Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins, all major activities e.g. Sir Edmund Hillary climbing Mount Everest, Jeanne May going to Outer Mongolia… everything begins as a dream… as an image in the person’s mind.
In my dream of being in Outer Mongolia I could feel, see and experience myself there. I felt the grasslands… I immersed myself in the energy of Outer Mongolia. I had not seen any pictures of Mongolia so I had no visual cues to use in my dream — my imagination filled in all the missing details. Amazingly, when we got to Outer Mongolia, I discovered that those details my imagination provided were incredibly accurate.
The key to visualizing your dream is to do it in detail as if you are already living your dream… as if it is already a reality. Not how it would be like… but rather how it is now that it is reality.
Some people are able to see images very clearly in their mind whereas others have difficulty and are unable to “see” images… they are not good at visualizing. But visualizing your dream isn’t only about seeing pictures in your mind… it’s about the feelings you have when you are thinking about your dream, it’s the thoughts you have when you are in your dream, it’s about your spirit coming alive when you are in your dream…
Another powerful technique is to put visual images e.g. photos, newspaper or magazine articles and pictures, typed or hand written words describing your dream, play music or messages that you can relate to your dream, in your environment so that your eyes and ears are constantly reminded of your dream.
These send strong messages to your brain which, in turn, will open you to opportunities that bring you closer to turning your dream into a reality.

New NBA Memorabilia Online – Collectibles For Your Favorite Team
By Wendy Pan
NBA league is the best-known basketball leagues in the world and one of the most popular leagues among all sports leagues. With all the top basketball stars all over the world participating in the league, NBA is keenly followed in almost all countries. Selling memorabilia items is one of the major streams of revenue for sports marketing bodies. NBA also has several collectible items such as team jerseys, wristbands, watches with the team logo, and cards with player pictures. Team jerseys of over thirty teams, including those teams that ceased to exist, are available. Usually fans support a particular club and a particular player. Jerseys of a club having the number and name of a particular player will be in great demand. One can also purchase new NBA memorabilia online also.
There are a number of websites that provide online purchase of collectible items from NBA. What makes the online purchasing easier than the conventional one is that the buyer can easily and quickly zero in on the desired item. Most of such websites have arranged the items in a team-wise, player-wise, and item-wise manner. Suppose you want the Los Angeles Lakers jersey worn by Kobe Bryant with the number 24, you can find the item within three or four mouse clicks. You do not need to ransack the whole box of jerseys to find the item you need. Another advantage of buying new NBA memorabilia online is that you may also get items in bargain prices if the websites provide any special offers.
The tag of the most prestigious NBA memorabilia item can perhaps be given to NBA at 50 signature basketballs. In these balls, 50 all time NBA greats put their signature. (In fact, signatures of some of the all time great payers are not there because the player died long ago.) The players that put their signature include Isiah Thomas, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Shaquille O’Neal. About 200 balls were produced. It is unlikely that one would find this item among new NBA memorabilia online.
There are certain things one should know about finding out the genuineness of the item. All NBA collectible items produced officially by NBA have a symbol on it. It is the official NBA symbol of red and blue color with an outline of a basketball player (modeled on former NBA player Jerry West) dribbling along. Whether you buy new NBA memorabilia online or through conventional methods, you have to check for this symbol.
After buying items, be it t-shirts, jerseys, wristbands, pictures, hats, or banners, it is ideal that you should get the signature of a player you admire on it. There are occasions during a season when clubs arrange specific functions for making players interact with fans. One can get the signature of the player during these occasions.

The Three Good Fairies from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty make a good picture to look at. Walt Disney had the version of the tale whittles the number of good fairies down to three. History of Disney Characters Depicted on Wall Murals
By Lisa Herbik
Winnie the Pooh was created by the English writer A. A. Milne. Milne named the bear after his son’s toy stuffed bear Winnipeg. His son’s other toys eventually lent their names to Winnie the Pooh’s friends: Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, and Piglet. Owl, Rabbit, and Gopher were added later on. Milne’s son, Christopher Robin Milne, was the inspiration for the character Christopher Robin.
Winnie the Pooh made his debut in 1926 in the children’s book Winnie-the-Pooh, illustrated by E.H. Shepard. Three other Winnie the Pooh books followed. The lovable bear was originally intended to be the “bear of little brains.” Forever on the search for honey, Pooh joins his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood.
In 1930 illustrator/producer Stephen Slesinger adapted the Winnie the Pooh character for use in radio, TV, and in story-telling records with Gene Kelly and Jimmy Stewart.
By 1961, Walt Disney Productions obtained motion picture rights on Winnie the Pooh and friends. Disney successfully adapted the Pooh stories into four movies: Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree (1966), Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day (1968), Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too (1974), and Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore (1983). Other films followed, and in 2005, the Disney Channel on TV began featuring Pooh and Tigger.
The Disney Princesses
Snow White made her screen debut in the 1937 Walt Disney animated feature “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” She was a lovely princess with the infamous, albeit, beautiful Queen, her wicked stepmother. Snow White manages to escape from the Queen’s castle where she worked dressed in rags and as a scullery maid. In the forest, she befriends the Seven Dwarfs, and happily lives in a small cottage. One day, the handsome Prince finds the lovely girl and the Magic Mirror informs the Queen. The Queen transforms herself into a hag and entices Snow White to eat a poisoned apple. Moments from death, Snow White is awakened with a magic kiss from the Prince. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the highest grossing film in 1938.
The Walt Disney animated feature “Sleeping Beauty” debuted in 1959. Sleeping Beauty is the story of Princess Aurora, her three good fairy godmothers Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, and the wicked fairy Maleficent. Maleficent curses the infant princess so that when she becomes a beautiful woman on her sixteenth birthday, she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die. Merryweather bestows a gift unto the princess whereby the prick will not cause Aurora to die, but to fall into a deep sleep that can only be broken by a kiss from her true love. Sleeping Beauty’s true love is Prince Philip. He gallantly fights and kills an evil dragon in order to get to his Aurora. Once he kisses her, both she and the whole dreary castle awaken. They happily waltz together in the festive castle as the movie ends. Disney spent almost ten years making the film “Sleeping Beauty” and the musical score is adapted from Tchaikovsky’s ballet.
Walt Disney released the animated feature “Cinderella” in 1950. Cinderella is a beautiful girl with a wicked stepmother and two ugly and vain stepsisters. She is oppressed and tormented as a kitchen maid, given a daily list of impossible and unending tasks to perform. Her animal friends include bluebirds and a troop of mice, notably, Gus. Meanwhile, the King of the land is eager to find a fair maiden for his son, who has no interest in the women of the palace. He arranges a ball, and, with the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella easily captures the heart and hand of Prince Charming.
Belle is the beautiful heroine of “Beauty and the Beast,” released in 1991 by Walt Disney. This is the tale of a selfish young prince, who is transformed into a hideous beast. He is doomed to remain a beast unless he can learn to love again. Belle is a spirited beauty, who lives with her father Maurice, and eventually finds herself in the Beast’s enchanted castle. Belle is initially repelled by the Beast, seemingly more for his personality than his looks. As the story progresses, her fondness for the Beast grows. Once the Best learns that Maurice’s life is in danger, he releases Belle from his castle. His empathy and charm eventually win her over. She returns to the castle and professes her love for the now dying Beast, both saving him from death, and transforming him back to his original princely self.
Finding Nemo Sharks
Bruce, Anchor, and Chum are the friendly, fiendish sharks from “Finding Nemo.” They are featured in the misadventures of Nemo on his quest back home to his father. Released in 2003, this Disney/Pixar film went on to receive an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film.
The Disney characters are known and beloved worldwide. Their likenesses can be found on everything from clothing, lunch boxes, toys, watches, jewelry, and wall murals.

Sleeping beauties three good fairies…

Perfect paintings and drawings can look lifeless. As an artist searching for perfection don’t miss the key ingredient to great art. The most important painting component is
“A picture that gives you a real sense of life”
The texture of the canvas adds depth to an oil painting. The finished painting isn’t dull and flat. By building layer upon layer of paint an artist creates a work of art that has interest and character
“With a surface of texture and depth”
To create great Art involves far more. Each painting has a hidden history
You don’t see the plans and preparations. There are the artist’s thoughts and ideas
* There are early ideas drawn on lost preparatory drawings
* Color sketches hidden in old art folders
* Old ideas covered by later repainting
Even if you can copy exactly what you see in front of you, you need to give your painting more
* A painting becomes Art when you use your feeling and understanding
* Your painting’s character comes from your flair and expression
* Your time and dedication is needed for painting success
Artists who use reference photographs can combine details from more than one photograph to create a new reality. You can play with subject details and backgrounds to develop new ideas when you
* Add your memories to your drawings
* Create a storyline for your picture
* Give your painting color
You can disguise drawing faults like poor perspectives with confident line-work. Active drawing permits you to disguise mistakes and lack of drawing skill when you work from real life
* When you draw a still life picture, the natural sweep of your ink pen can mask slightly distorted vase of flowers
* When you use a pencil for figure drawing, errors in body form can be hidden
* A quick swish of charcoal will make trees in your landscape sketch move with the wind
* A swirling dash of crayon can capture the power of Sea waves
You can easily add more interest to you drawings Leave the sketch outlines showing. Your drawings will rank high when your pencil marks show movement and growth.
Don’t hide your talents. Allow the painting process to distinguish your original artwork from a machine produced print copy
* Allow visible brush marks to show the quality of your oil and acrylic painting skills
* Lift your paintings Add a splash of color to your paintings
* Use water to carry color in your flowing watercolor paintings
As an art beginner or intermediate painter take the lead from professional artists. Add soul to your painting and drawing. Don’t allow your art to suffer

Girl tattoo designs are all over the internet. The question, then, is not so much on where to look for them as on how to choose the right one. Here are some basic tips for finding the design that you would love to keep for the rest of your life.
Know What You Want
Tattoo should be more than skin-deep. Remember that tattoos will stay on your skin forever. You should pick a design that you personally want and that is significant to you. Do take note though that various designs may not have the same universal meaning as you would think. Flowers for example are definitely feminine but some particular kinds of flowers may also signify jealousy, flirtatiousness, unfaithfulness and folly. You can ask an experienced tattoo artist for design definitions. You can also research for them online. Decide on a design only when you like it very much and you know what it means.
Pick the Right Spot
Although tattoos can be placed anywhere, some parts of the body however are more ideal than others. Your choice of tattoo spot will depend on your particular purpose for wearing the tattoo. If you want something that can be seen, then you can settle for arm or facial tattoos. If you wan to be more discreet, then you can choose spots that can be hidden by choice. These include the lower back, foot and inner wrist.
There are also spots that are more common than others. These areas include the lower back and the arms. If you want to be more original, you can choose to have a tattoo on the foot, although this may hurt more than usual.
Size Matters
Girl tattoo designs have different shapes, sizes and even variations. There is however, a big difference between designs for males and females. Those for ladies are almost always smaller than their male counterparts. There are big designs for women. These however are typically more delicate, dainty and refined. Tattoo artists may recommend designs for you but the final decision is always yours. If you want a tattoo that will make you seem more feminine, then opt for scaled down designs.
Get the Tattoo for Yourself
Get a tattoo because you want to. Getting one because someone else wants you to is never an option. You have to be certain that your permanent body symbol is your personal choice. This is especially important because tattoos are not universally appreciated. Some people tend to view tattooed women as tramps or sluts. If you make getting a tattoo a personal decision, you wouldn’t worry too much about criticisms.
Pay for a Good Artist
Selecting the right tattoo artist is essential. Reputable artists will always beg off from a design that is not feasible. They will also carefully counsel you about a bad design or tattoo spot location. You should settle for an artist who is experienced but who can be honest with you.
You just can’t pass up great girl tattoo designs. You should always be careful with your design choices though. Make sure you get your design right the first time. A botched up tattoo may be hard to fix.

Sleeping Beauty was the sixteenth film in Walt Disney’s canon, following Lady and The Tramp and preceding One Hundred and One Dalmatians. It was the last feature to be based upon a fairy tale, written by Charles Perrault. Indeed, Disney Studios would not return to a fairy tale again until the 1989 release of The Little Mermaid. Moreover, this was the last feature to use hand-inked cells.
The film was supervised by Walt Disney himself, though he charged the direction of the feature to his trusted animators Les Clark, Eric Larson, and Wolfgang Reitherman. The three animators, as well as six other co-workers, were known collectively as “The Nine Old Men.” The Nine Old Men were the key animators who had worked with Walt beginning with Snow White and ending with The Rescuers. The film’s score was performed by the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, based on the 1890 Sleeping Beauty ballet composed by Pytor Tchaikovsky. Production of Sleeping Beauty stretched nearly the entire decade of the 1950s. According to Wikipedia, the story was rewritten through 1951, the actor’s voices were recorded in 1952, the actual animation spanned from 1953 to 1958, and the stereophonic score was recorded in 1957. Walt Disney wanted the style of the film to mimic medieval art. This marked a decided break from the characteristically rounded and fluid animation style Disney had become famous for. Since the feature would be screened via the Super Technirama 70 format, Disney was keen on making Sleeping Beauty as complex and detailed as possible. The Super Technirama 70 format was a method that optically enlarged 35mm film stock to a 70mm print. The Black Cauldron is the only other Disney film to have been presented Super Technirama 70.
Disney charged Eyvind Earle, a background painter and artist, with the production design of the film. Earle was given a great deal of freedom to push the boundaries. His lavish backgrounds often took seven to ten days to paint, whereas an average background painting took only one day to prepare. Earle’s artistic latitude was not popular among the animators as they had previously enjoyed a great deal of participation with regards to their respective characters and background settings. Disney’s belief in Earle was directly related to his winning an Academy Award for a Disney released short in 1953 entitled Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom. Following its release, Sleeping Beauty only earned half of its $6 million budget. This shortfall nearly bankrupted the Disney studio. The film was initially criticized for its pacing and alleged shallow character development. Many felt the radical new look alienated a number of Disney fans. It has subsequently come to be considered a classic, most notably for its lush backgrounds, widescreen format, and stirring soundtrack.
